F & T Excavating and Demolition of Northeastern Pennsylvania was started after realizing there was a great need for honest and reliable contracting - a long standing business ethic passed down to us by Dave's grandfather. He was a small town business man with an interest in machinery. Using an old Backhoe and Dump Truck, he began doing small jobs for friends and family in the area, forging a reputation for fast, reliable service. Dave's grandfather has since passed away, leaving us in 1999. Surprising, the machinery has survived, awaiting the day that we would use it for small, local jobs. Shortly after Dave's grandfather passing, Dave and I met, working as police officers in Carbondale Pennsylvania. We became great friends and realized we shared the same goals and business ethics - thus beginning our quest to start our own business.

Some time has passed since we got behind the wheel of the very machines Dave's grandfather used. We have taken on quite a few jobs and proudly completed all of them. We learned a lot about what to do and what not to do. We taken huge strides, adding to our fleet of vehicles and equipment. We have established many contacts and have completed jobs bigger than we could have ever imagined.

It is safe to say Dave's grandfather would be extremely proud of what we have done - and we started it all with the very machines he used.
